I've done that, works well. I prefer to use honey mustard instead of (or in addition, you can make half-half) mayo.

My school doesn't provide any sort of kitchen or cooking space to students, and hotplates, toaster ovens, etc. aren't allowed. That's not to say that there's any reason to follow that rule though...I made a pot of chili last semester. Kind of a lot of work though.

Yeah, I've been spoiled by the convenience of my school's dining halls. I go home and think "oh time for dinner I'll just head out and... wait..."
 
At least you had a kitchen. I lived with nothing but a microwave. I smuggled in an electric tea kettle and cooked ramen in it.

So glad I'm out of the dorms.
