Hey now! Don't be using Marshall and crap in the same sentence! Uhm, er,

, okay, they did have a crappy season. Beat K-State one night, get beaten up by little girls at Troy the next...

Interesting. I thought also a part of the BCS charter was to eliminate post-season rematches. Hmm, I guess the BCS is really controlled by the same guy who produces Survivor.

Now, what would be really poignant would be that someone like Miami (Ohio) or TCU would have won all their games. Championship? Get real. Even with the stuff I'm smoking doesn't make me see fantasies like that. However, either one would have an excellent beef with the BCS about deserving a BCS bowl game (and one of the big teams would have to settle for a non-BCS bowl.)

Don't get me wrong, I have great respect for Marshall. I felt going in to that game it would be a challenge, but a very winnable one. Losing our QB solved that. I think Marshal had similar troubles over the season. If not for the loss of Roberson and fall to Marshall, I think a very different team goes into Texas (then Stillwater) and comes out a winner.

It was very annoying though that the best smack OU fans could spout prior to the game was to walk by and mutter "Marshall" then giggle. Who's laughing now?

Dang. One heckuva coincidence then.

<--- Clemson fan, obviously :p

NC State
Florida State
Clemson

You have a heckuva team this year, it's a shame it took the shellacking by Wake Forest to wake them up.

Personally, I think Texas could fall to Wazzu...

OU beats LSU
USC beats Mythigan.
Nebraska over MSU
Ole Miss over Okie State

The rest I'm not gonna pick yet.

Agreed. That game was painful. Although looking back on it, I'm glad we got beat like we did. We needed a kick in the pants and that's exactly what that game was. Our team has been Jekyll and Hyde all year. Ugly against Georgia, brilliant against Georgia Tech, winning an OT game against UVA, losing a close one to NC State, beating UNC close, etc. Up until WF, I never really felt confident about our chances in a game.

I'm excited about the possibility of beating Tennessee, though, and I definitely think it's possible. I've got my ticket sitting right here :) As for next year, though, I think we're going to be even better. I think we have 17 of 22 starters returning as well as the punter. Several key players are only sophomores this year, as well. I don't know much about NC State... do they return a good QB for next year after Rivers is gone?

Texas and Texas A&M have some aggressive non conference games starting in 2004 or 2005.

Whether or not you consider it one of the aggressive non-conference games is up to you, I guess, but Clemson goes to College Station in 2004 and A&M comes to Clemson in 2005, IIRC.

They should enjoy it. They beat the hell out of the consensus #1 team in the country by four touchdowns.

IIRC correctly they face FSU in 2005, FSU in 2006, Miami in 2007, Miami 2008.

I agree. Definitely a tough out-of-conference when your conference is the Big XII.

yeah, you guys annihilated nebraska good... well who else did? thats right--UT.

a 24-14 win over missouri is an annihilation by whose standards? kansas? who, ironically, also beat mizzou (by a better margin at that). I remember a 5-7 colorado beating mizzou also

you dont understand. im not downing KSU.. i just dont think they are as good as OSU. OSU played a GRINDING schedule, and still ended up 10-2. their last loss was a tough fight put up against a resurgent mich team. as much as i personally hate osu, i have to give credit where credit is due.

thats why i never brought up the "marshall crap". yeah, you guys were playing without EllRobertson. in the game where KSU 'came a fumble away from kicking UT to the curb', UT were playing 3 quarters without OUR version of EllRo. now that changes the situation doesnt it?

hell, Vince Young did not play in the Arkansas game where we lost by 10 points. in the hypothetical realm UT would be 11-1 and in the contention mix... but we're not playing that imaginary game. no allegiances here. in conclusion, i think these are the strongest teams NOW

1. lsu
2. ou
3. michigan
4. ohio state
5. usc

You didn't watch the KSU-Mizzou game then, moron. We physically dominated them. Sproles ran for around 250 yards. The score does not indicate how close it was not. You weren't playing without "your version of Ell Roberson", well that was a decision your team made. He wasn't hurt. Get real ya whiney Texas fan.
