College Application Help

Hello, after taking a year off of school I finally figured out what I want to do with my life after experiencing an epiphany. I decided I wanted to become a computer technician of sorts, possibly open up my own computer repair shop over time. I just have no idea what I need to select as my major, and I really don't want to select the wrong major and be miserable for a semester.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot!

Yes and no, I'd like to go to college for something computer hardware related, nothing too much in the development field, rather build and repair, not necessarily a shop like I said in my first post, I do realize that was for the dawn of computing. I just want to be happy with what I do, and after a year of a grocery store customer service I figured out I need something called an education

well...I am telling you right now....college is overkill for that job. you would be better off just going to a trade school.

Ah, that is a good point, I've looked into them a couple years ago, I have a few not too far from where I live, would it be a decent paying job though would you know? Even though I'd love something like that, I'd hate for it to have a bad payout, when I can just do it as a hobby and find another career option after I take my liberal arts.

pay out is pretty bad unless you do it at a corporate level, but then you are more than a technician. I say if you really want to go to college, look into MIS.
