Collecting disability for being overwheight?

So my sister-in-law is married to an uber douchebag. Yeah, I just said UBER.... get over it. Anyways, he plans on gaining 60 pounds in the next 6 months so he can start collecting disability so he doesn't have to work. Sounds pretty stupid and unbelievable, doesn't it? Well, believe it. Man, I wish I could go down and take his kids away from him.

If you get disabilty for being overweight, you should have to be on a mandatory weight-loss program assigned by the government. If you have a medical condition causing this though then I think the government should try to help you fix the problem.

The thing is if he gets disability for being overweight, he will probably qualify for food stamps. Isn't that like giving money to a crack addict to buy more crack ?

The cost should come from the disabilty checks u get. If you don't show improvement (be very generous and give it 1/2 pound per week average over the course of the first three months, and then adjust from there) then you should be kicked off of it

Kicked off and left to die. Can you tell I don't like this guy?

Make him do a job that involves lots of physical labor in warm environments for a while. I can't believe I have to help pay for this

odds are he will NEVER get SSDI. It is already hard enough for those with legit disiblites to get it. though i guess it wouldnt suprise me.some of the stories i hear are insane.
