I have assembled a "new" PC system for my grandson, using older components; it won't have internet access soon, so getting the updates interactively won't be possible. There was a thread on one or another forum I read regularly, about an unofficial "Service Pack" collection for Win98 being maintained on the internet somewhere. It's a marvelous idea for PC's that don't need the latest MS bloatware, but the bookmark I thought that I had made hasn't turned up.
A thread search here didn't find any matches, either. But whether the thread was here or not, perhaps the web site involved is known to one of the folks at AT reading this request? I'd appreciate the URL. Thanks again.
