Collage program?

Is there a program out there that makes those posters?

for example there's a starwars poster of a character, but if you walk up to the poster its a bunch of scenes from the movie, but if you stand back it looks like yoda, or darth vader, etc. etc.?

how do they make that? I wanted to make something like that with all my pictures....

Here is a sample that I did using a "Free" mosaic maker

However, I can't remember the name of it off the top of my head. I will have to look when I get home today.

I had to do the "Enhanced" version manually by overlaying the original photo with transparency.

The quality isn't great with this one as I used pictures of beer coasters to do it.

No, but it does collages of photos in its data base. They are somewhat limited to about four canned styles.

PSP X will do mosaics.
