I like how Trump attacked him for supporting the Iraq War and for saying Iraq had WMD, both positions that Trump also held at the time.
 
Meh, wasn't Colin considered a traitor against the Republican master race before the end of Bush Jr's presidency? Plus do I need to point out the other obvious reason that Republicans by and large don't give a shit what he has to say about Turmp?

But hey, the more the merrier. Its time that we give Turmp something to constantly get distracted with, by having an endless stream of people point out his many many despicable acts and failures.
 
I think its more of a anyone but Trump vote. Tbh, I dont see Biden any more appealing than Hillary. A vote for Biden is just a vote for a return to some semblance of sanity, thats all.

for republicans as a whole it probably won't change much but as more top level retired generals/admirals turn on trump that likely will influence active duty members to not support the president.

I've had mixed emotions about Powell over that same issue. Feelings haven't changed over time either.

Condollezza Rice however, I have no problem seeing what a sycophant she was to her boss. No, not Cheney, it's the "other" self-described decider I was referring to. 😉

I'll take your vote for Biden if you really mean it, but you "fell for" the most transparently-bogus search-for-an-excuse exercise ever--we wer going to invade Iraq no matter what, no matter how many times the evidence wasn't there. You are partly responsible for the deaths of possibly over a million people over the course of that invasion and occupation. You are partly responsible for the formation of Isis, and the current shitty government in Iraq.

And in fairness, so are cowardly Democrats like Hillary who went along with it meekly.

Don't tell me "they lied to everyone", it was as obvious as the day is long that they had nothing from the start and Iraq had zip to do with 9/11.

You know... You're absolutely not wrong here, nor the other posters in this thread who criticized Powell, but at this point in time I'll buy what he's selling, because just the fact he's speaking out against Orange Menace represents another crack in Dumpy's +12 Armor of Invulnerability that he's been wearing ever since he first started campaigning.

So far it has stopped any number of serious gaffes and horrific utterings that would have sunk any other candidate multiple times over. Remember Howard Dean, who enthusiastically yelled himself into obscurity? Yeah. He YELLED, that sunk him. Dumpy bragged about kissing and grabbing women by their you-know-what uninvited, and he got elected prez. He threw rolls of tissue paper to survivors of a monster hurricane like he was bestowing them divine gifts, and called the local gov't (and the president of Puerto Rico (!!!)) incompetent when they complained about him not doing much to help out. We could be here all night recounting all the vile, nutty and just plain bizarre things his super-teflon armor has deflected so far.

Now, I don't know if this will be enough. Who can say. Dumpy was expected to lose last time and he didn't. He'll still have his foreign state actor "allies" who will seek to sow chaos and mayhem in the U.S. by trying to get him re-elected. There's still the same quirks in the U.S. election system that allowed him to win despite losing the popular vote by millions of people. And the Repuggers have been voting suppressing at maximum throttle ever since last election too. So chances are pretty good the entire world will be stuck with this fucking guy for another 4 years, barring heart attack, stroke or perhaps severe dementia. (Although that last one didn't seem to work very well against Ronald Reagan, ha.)

Of course, and he immediately tweeted the worst putdown he could conjure from his polluted mind... which of course was as transparent as glass. They showed it on network news last night and as usual had me murmuring to myself about Trumpf's depravity. DJT knows how to make enemies like few others... I hope he has enough by election day to earn him a get out of DC free card, good until Jan. 20.

I especially like anyone who goes on record as disliking liars. Collin Powell has infinitely more integrity than D. Trump (who has none).
