We live in a country where T. McVeigh blew up a f'in building cause he hated minoritys. We live in a country where a black man got dragged to death to the point where his body literally fell apart. Just last year, after 9/11, we had innocent arab people, citizens of our country, beaten, stores and businesses destroyed, even had a few killed, all because another group of folks who happened to be arab killed thousands of American citizens at the WTC. This is the country we live in, IN REALITY.

Graduated from a Technical school 5th highest average in school
3 years Air Force Reserves
Have my A+ and build pcs on the side
Recently got my NJ State Realtors License, in the process of closing my 2nd deal, just got started in January. A nice extra 7 grand for 2 months work.
I have over 10 years in running computerized type copy equipment, in which I earn a nice living.
Me and wife will crack the 6 figure mark this year. I believe between doing some nice real estate on the side and my regular job, next year if I work hard I belive I can make 6 figures by myself.
Son I live well. I earn my keep. Very few folks have my smarts or brains. I've never cried racism. You know why, cause this ole boy has got skills and I know how to get it done. I could care less if someone turns me down cause of my skin, I'll work harder. I do work harder. I am already preapring my children to go to college, good colleges. I have paid the price and I'm just getting started. Very few folks can touch me in real life guy. Very few. I earn my keep. I am no dummy, far from it, I am proud of who I am, what I am, and will continue to try every year to get better, till the day they put my black ass in the ground.

Colin would have a shot at getting elected only because he's black enough to be black, but not black enough to turn off the white voters. Say what you want but a dark skinned black guy has NO shot of being elected President, at least not for another 50 years. Colin's skin is light enough that he can appeal to both the whites and minorities. It's sad and pathetic but it's true.

You people saying Powell would not get elected because of racism are idiots. There are a few things that separate Powell from [most] other black men that people consider besides color that would get him many white votes. As a matter of fact, i think the situartion would be reversed. He would get a higher percentage of white votes than black votes.

1. He speaks very well, no ebonics there.
2. He doesn't believe the US "owes" him something.
3. He is very competent at what he accomplishes.
4. He exudes cofidence and security to those around him.
5. He would not cater to black special interest parties.


There are many more, but I'm not going through them. If the other black figureheads (Jackson, Sharpton, et al) would take a clue, there wouldn't be an issue at all. Of all the other popular black men in this country today, I would vote for either George Foreman or Colin Powell. I get along great with black men as long as they speak professionally, show common courtesy and don't feel like I'm the reason any thing "unfair" in life has happened to them.

BTW, if his views were conservative enough, he would get nominated. My uncle who is a redneck dirt farmer who once said years ago that he likes blacks so much every white should own one, said he would vote for him, and you could have knocked me over when he did.

I like and respect him. But I would not want him for president. His positions are much to liberal for my tastes.

It amazes me how many say they would vote for him yet hacen't a clue where he stands on the issues. He's too 'liberal' for my tastes, but give him a job to do that does not include making policiy and he excels.
