In what is probably his last game as a Phillie. He no hit the Cubs, which hadn't been no hit in nearly their last 8,000 games, the longest streak the major leagues.

The last time the Cubs were no hit, it was 1965 and Sandy Koufax threw a perfect game against them.

Mr. Hamels, I salute you, sir. You were the MVP of our World Series win. I hope you get to go win another, even if it won't be with the sad sack Phils.
 
As a Met-fan I cannot share your joy.

I do however have a lot of respect for Hamels & hate the Cubs nearly as much as I do the Phils so its not a total loss!
