don't pick at it and use a good chap stick (the kind that comes in that little round container with the yellow top and white bottom).

It will go away naturally. How long have you had it?

I've learned how to "beat" the coldsore. I get one once every year or two. I carry a tube of the coldsore medication everywhere I go, I keep it in my business bag (with me often). The second you feel the tingle or itch use the medication. If you wait too long beyond that first tingle you'll lose control of it. The only problem with my practice is when a coldsore starts while I'm sleeping, it's to late to stop it by the time I wake up.

Hope this helps.

There's a specific medicine that helps cold sores.....it's called Abreva. You can find it in drugstores.....it should be around $11.

NO Valtrex . . . I would sue any doctor that tried to prescribe it for you. Abreva works very well. You can dessicate the vesicles with isopropyl alcohol. Be careful not to rupture the vesicles or apply alcohol to broken skin.

Post it in Hot Deals!!!!

I get 'em too once in awile. They don't itch or tingle, they're just like sore bumps inside my mouth. It usually means I haven't been getting enough sleep. Just getting more rest makes them go away.

Yeah, plain old acyclovir works just fine and its about 1/10th of the cost. Of course, that was for a bad case of shingles I had which crossed dermatomes, I don't get cold sores.

I quit for 7 months and had them constantly.....
