Since their almost breakup they spend the very minimum time together when they are not touring. They have gotten lazy and complacent and it shows.

Two decent singles in an otherwise meh effort = an album to an established lazy band.

I blame yoko

Yet they had one of the top selling albums in the UK (according to some DJ on the radio yesterday).

I agree though, very "meh" album for the past two releases and Chris Martin seems so damn full of himself I can't hardly stand to see him in any of the "live" concerts they play on TV.

lol Coldplay's style? They just rehash a bunch of other people's music.

Are you referring to Satriani's song? I'm a huge satch fan, and I didn't even think it was enough of a similarity to be considered a ripoff. It was basically just a similar melody to a short section of that song. I didn't even notice it until it hit the news, and I've listened to If I Could Fly a ton of times. Do you know how many riffs Joe plays that could probably be associated to other music? I was really surprised to see him try to sue coldplay for that, and was happy that it was dismissed.

Joe probably just accused them to get some more publicity. Lets face it, most people don't even know who Joe is. There are so many songs that sound like other songs in every genre, it's not uncommon for melodies to overlap from time to time.

I really like the first two albums, but am embarrassed and angered by everything since that time. I am just the right age (43) to have both loved and hated them.
