I've built some extensive web apps with CDML (Filemaker markup web language) and have tinkered with ASP and PHP. At work, I'm finally being given the chance to devote some serious time to web development and have been given the power to choose my platform. I've narrowed my choices down to Cold Fusion and ASP.NET. Can people who know something about both please give me their opinions on which is a better tool. I know it depends on who is going to be coding with it, but I'm not a set-in-my-ways programmer who needs things a certain way. Sure it would take longer to become adept at ASP.NET, but if the underlying technology is better I'm willing to devote the time and energy.
