cold cathode question

Ok, so I somehow cracked a cold cathode tube in my case. Is it possible to replace the tube and not have to buy a whole new kit? I really don't know these things.

I've never seen anything like a replacement kit for cracked UV tubes. If you have the right kind of converter you may be able to find a place that sells just the tube.

a new kit is ~$5.00 at svc.com or so, just go pick up a whole new set (inverter+tubes)

They also sell an occasional tube. Seen them for as low as $2, but not all that common.

I thought I've seen tubes being sold everywhere but I guess I was seeing things?

Check here, I dunno if it's what you were looking for but it's a "tube."
