Cold Cathode Lights outside of PC, can it be done?

I had the interesting idea the other day of mounting some cold cathode lights in various areas of my room to create some cool effects when the room lights are off. I was thinking of picking up an old AT power supply (with external switch) and running the molex connectors through there. Would that be a feasible solution or am I completely missing something?

Thanks in advance!

It should work fine. Just make sure to keep in mind that if you place the cathodes a long distance from the PS you may need to increase the size wire you use.

By size of wire, are you referring to the thickness or length?
