It has 8 chips on each side with no identifiable manufacturer's logo. Not a good sign.
All it says on the chips is 64Mx4 SDRAM-8-T. It's 8 ns! (7.5 for typical PC133 CL3).
Can't do 133 CL3 on my ASUS TUSI-M (SiS630ET), although it's ok at 100 MHz.
Only regconized as 256 MB on my ASUS AV7I-VM (VIA KM133) which I didn't bother to check if it works there.
***Update: That was when I set the memory to run at 133. When I set it at 100 with SPD default (3-2-2), my w2k runs stable.

If it only shows up as 128m, and says 64x4 or ??x4 it's highdensity... bah, crap.. warm deal just went to polar

Eh my friend bought Ram like that once, 512mb showed up as 64mb or 128mb no matter what he did.

Called people that made it but no one answered phone, ever.

Sometimes a deals not a deal even if the $$ is right.....

Actually that's a pretty decent price for high-density ram. About what it's going for online after the shipping prices.

Has anyone tested this on a Via based motherboard like the KT7A? I hear high-density ram works well on those boards, and I might be willing to give it a shot.

Maybe they should call it K-Bites!

Wow... Pretty sad when $69.99 buys you a crappy, no name brand, HD, (not)PC133 512MB stick....

This makes it offical... the days of cheap ram are over :(

BTW: Watch out, either OD or OM are running a special of some sort on K-Byte RAM this week...

LOL, Of course it didn't work for you croak, your board only supports a maximum of 256MB for each DIMM, make sure you dont make the same mistake again.

But as to why it didn't work in the other cases? I have no freaking idea.

Well, I don't have this ram but I did buy a generic high density 64 x 4 512 mb pc133 dimm for my KT7 (no a) and it is 8 ns as well. I think there was a time in the memory industry that 8 ns was frequently classified as pc133 pretty much across the board. Anyway, this works fine with 4 way interleaving, 4k page mode, normal settings but no o'c. YMMV

I just bought one of these. It clearly states 64x64-PC133 on the package, but the chips say 64x4M.

Well, I called the company to check on this., He gave me some explanation stating the whole strip is called "64x64" while the chips seperately are 64x4.

I'm a bit confused. I thought there was a difference between High-Density memory and normal 512mb PC133. So are all 512mb strips using 64x4 memory or is this ia case of mislabling?

Some motherboards are unable to accept 512meg SDRAM, my aging Asus among them. They are either recognized as 128M, or 256M, or maybe not at all.
