Yes, sadly, Harry Morgan of M*A*S*H fame as well as Dragnet and many movies has passed.

Oh wow, thought he'd died ages ago. I was always more of a McLean Stevenson guy, but R.I.P. regardless.

KT

my mom just loved that first character he played. He was a totally crazy general who showed up on one episode.

MASH was such a good show.

I know, I know not at all representative of blah blah blah... It's a comedy, get over it.

RIP Col. Potter. One of my favorite TV series. No matter how many times I've seen the episode I will always stop and watch.

Yeah. Definitely one of those shows you enjoy watching re-runs.

Got my DVR set up to record MASH episodes whenever they're on.

The man had quite a career. I recently watched him as Marshall Thibido in The Shootist telling John Wayne he couldn't wait until he is dead.

RIP

i always preferred henry blake's goofiness to sherman potter's straight-shooter but nevertheless he was still great in his own right.

Yes he had a big body of work including a lot of classics. He was a great actor too. R.I.P.

RIP Col. Potter.

I preferred Henry Blake, but I thought Potter was easily the best of the "replacement characters" such as BJ, Winchester, etc.

RIP Harry Morgan .. aka Colonel Sherman Potter / Officer Bill Gannon
A fine actor, he will be missed.

He must have went through hell in high school. Drop the M and you have the funniest name in show business.

This is almost an anand tech first, some one dies and no one has a bad word to say about him.

But why should I buck the trend, as I say RIP Harry Morgan who I remember in so many acting roles.
