Coke Zero really does taste like regular coke.

I hate the taste of most diet soda so much that I'd rather just drink water, but it seems that Coke really did something right when they made Zoke Zero.

Anyone else agree?

Tastes better then diet in my opinion, but still nowhere near regular. Leaves that crappy aftertaste as well.

Coke from Mexico FTW. Seriously. Had some last night and it is shocking to me the difference in taste with cane sugar vs. HFCS.

Coke Zero is one of the better asparane based diet drinks. Coke with Splenda is better IMO but not tart enough to match a real Coke.

To the Coca Cola company:

What's so fuckin hard about taking thew regular Coke formula and just replace the sugar with splenda and make it taste like regular Coke?

No kidding.
Hopefully they will go back to using real sugar instead of corn based HFCS now when the price of corn has gone up.

I agree with you there, Coke with Splenda was even better. But they don't sell it in 2 litter bottles and don't sell Cherry Coke with Spelenda... so Coke Zero is what I buy for now.

It is decent but it certainly doesn't taste like regular coke.

The best coke out is the Diet Coke with splenda in my opinion

If you're drinking diet soda, you probably shouldn't be drinking soda in the first place. Just drink water.

Yup. You guys don't know what you're talking about when you say it tastes the same. That's what I thought when I had it. It's night and day compared to regular coke. Then remember Coke C2? When that came out I swore by it. IT got a lot closer to regular coke, but it's still quite different.

does have a saltyish after taste. Probably from the splenda.

My roommate started buying splenda and using it for kool-ade. Had been using it for close to 3 months before I found out.

I suppose I shouldn't eat beef or chicken either, after all I can get the same protein from eating whey protein powder.

I should just be eating a tasteless brown paste plus some water for each meal, along with some multi-vitamins, right?

There are some things I'll sacrifice to improve my health, but if I can enjoy 90% of the taste for virtually none of the negatives, I'm going to take it. Sorry that bothers you.

Soda offers no nutritional value while beef and chicken does.

I drink soda a few times a week to enjoy. But I know that stuff isn't good for you, so I'll usually drink water, tea, milk, or juice the rest of the time.

Incorrect. Soda contains mostly water, and has virtually the same nutritional value of water.

You get shipwrecked on a deserted island with no fresh water and you have to survive a week, would you rather have a few bottles of coke or would you rather have 3 lbs of lean ground chicken?

If you really meant soda offers no nutritional value other than that of the water it contains, I'll agree with that. In which case my comparison is equally valid. Beef has no nutritional value other than the proteins and vitamins it contains. If you can get the same proteins and vitamins from a whey protein shake, without the fats, why eat beef?

If you just want to eat the absolute healthiest things you can, I'd agree with you. But, if variety and taste matter, it doesn't matter if one drink is .05% more healthy than the alternative.

I'm a Classic Coke addict. I haven't had a glass of water in weeks.

I KNOW that Coke Zero tastes nothing like Classic Coke.

I find drinking coke to be incredibly stupid. It doesn't quench your thirst, it doesn't taste all that good, and it offers 0 nutritional value. Wtf is the point?
