Seems like a deal. Maybe you could pricematch the Coke at CompUSA if they still have their beat it by $1 pricematch policy...

Anyways, here's some coupons as long as you are going to Target.

I love Coke Zero!!! I was a recent convert to Diet Coke. Finally gave up on the sugar. Diet Coke tasted ok (not as good as real Coke), but I really dug it when I tried Coke Zero. Yay.

Meijer has a 2 for $1 deal on Coke Zero right now too.

My take on Coke Zero is that if you don't/won't drink diet drinks, then it's probably going to have a little bit of a diet-y aftertaste to you,
If you drink diet drinks normally (because you can't have/don't want the calories of sugared drinks, but actually prefer full octane), then it'll taste a LOT LESS diet-y to you, and
If you are starting to think that you might need to start tring diet drinks because your clothes keep getting tight on you, then you might as well start with Coke Zero because it'll take the least 'getting used to'. (None at all for a lucky few.)

I like it, but it's REALLY good when it's VERY cold. (As a previous poster stated.)

I want a DC +-RW.

Beaver Fever is from an awesome Ren & Stimpy episode. It also applies whenever horney, which is pretty much all the time.

The best new "diet" drinks (I drink them because I'm diabetic) with Splenda are all the fruit ones (like those from Sobe and Fuze)...check them out if you haven't already. Cola-wise, I think Diet Rite (which has Splenda) tastes better than Pepsi One w/ Splenda and Diet Coke with Splenda. My favorite sugar-free cola drink remains Diet Cherry Coke, though.

Coke Zero is worse than regular Diet Coke, in my opinion.

I liked it pretty well, but I drink diet colas, and never regular colas. Coke C2 was godawful, but Coke Zero is pretty good, IMHO.

For Spenda Colas also try the Hansen diet Series. I myself drink the Root Beer version. But you might like the Black Cherry one.

But for Coke C2 versus diet Coke, All Coke C2 has is Watered down Regular coke. Check out the listings.

It's not really "watered down". Really it's more like:
C2 = half Coke + half Diet Coke

Isn't coke zero the exact same thing as diet coke? Do they even have any commercials telling anything about it?

No, Coke Zero is basically Coca-Cola Classic with aspartame and acesulfame potassium (non-caloric sweeteners) instead of corn syrup (caloric sweetener). But Diet Coke has different flavoring agents than Coke Classic/Coke Zero, I guess the original intent was to make diet Coke cover up more of the aftertaste of the artificial sweetener. And now, I guess, using the new blend of sweeteners, they can make Coke Zero taste the same (to most people) as Coke Classic.

commercials: yeah, I've seen a couple. The memorable one was a takeoff on the old "I'd like to teach the world to sing" commercial where they're all up on a hilltop. Only this time they're singing "I'd like to teach the world to chill" and they're up on a rooftop. It really surprised me to see them re-use that song. I guess it isn't as 'sacred' as I though...or Coke Zero is more special than I thought.

Sorry if I'm a bit overzealous here, but I'm glad they came up with a diet(!) drink that doesn't have the after taste of diet Coke. I've been drinking diet drinks (Cokes, almost exclusively) since a few years ago when my clothes kept not fitting. And Coke Zero is the best thing I've tried since then, so I want to make sure it really takes off and starts to be available for me.

I'm a hardcore diet pop drinker (by hardcore I mean 100+oz a day) and Coke Zero tastes much better at first. The after taste is pretty much the same. I should be a lab rat for effects of aspartame on humans testing, lol.

Think that covers it all for the DC stuff. Not a Pepsi fan at all....the only once that I can even stand is Pepsi One....and that would be one glass/can of it. I would rate vanilla above zero, but I cannot stomach drinking that much of it. The splenda stuff is like drinking the water and getting beaver fever. (see who remembers that line from a cartoon)

Drinking water out of the stream at my cabin in northern michigan gives you mad beaver fever. Lol, thats what we call it too.

(drinking water with soap in it has the same effect :p )

I think Coke Zero has less "Diet" taste than just about any other soft drink. I think it's pretty good. I've been a diet coke drinker for a long time but like the new Coke Zero better. in terms of diet soft drinks I rank them as follows:

1) Diet A&W root beer...... No question about it the best diet soda available. Very very close to real A&W.

2) Coke Zero

3) Diet Wild Cherry Pepsi

I will always prefer regular Coca-Cola!!

Yeah, speaking of that, I like the sometimes hard-to-find small glass bottles of coke. Nothing like it! I know it's the same as the crap in the can but those little bottles are the only Coke I ever regularly drink.
Oh, and I tried the Coke Zero and it was just that......zero!
Buz, You can usually get the Cokes in the hour-glass bottle imported from Mexico at your local Mex restaurant. At least that's the way it is down on Fereral Blvd. in Denver.

Another thing RE: those Cokes from Mexico, they contain sugar, not corn squeezins.
Pretty authentic.

We actually have a small local (7-11'ish type) Deli-Market that keeps a few dozen packed in ice right by the check stand. Simply irresistable; there ought to be a law against that! LOL!! At the same time, that store doesn't sell them in six packs, etc: Only as singles by the check stand. Someone was really doing their homework on that one!
I never thought about checking a local Mex restaurant but there'd probably be even more mark up on them than in that little store. Hmmmm, sugar!! It's the real thing! :p

Been a true Coke-ic (as in alcohol-ic) over a half century.
I was in Atlanta in '85 for the Atlanta Computer Show when, The Other Guy Blinked.

We were on one of the top floors of the Weston Peachtree and saw all the canon and fireworks show announcing the faux pas of the century.

dew.

dito. took the exact words out of my mouth.

I think it's quite good. Tastes sweeter than diet coke, and has a richer carmel taste like regular Coke. Almost there, with zero calaries!

Currently here are my favorite diet colas in order: Coke Zero, Pepsi One (with splenda), Diet Coke (with splenda).

Coke Zero is good stuff. Not too sweet. Doesn't taste "diet."

Coke Zero is much more like real Coke than DC ever was. Same taste, to me. Same texture, as odd as that sounds. Don't know how else to describe that, but Coke Classic has a certain "feel" to it and Coke Zero has that same sensation.

In my mind, they got it right with Coke Zero. And, quite frankly, what anyone else thinks about it doesn't really matter in the end. Of course, that applies to your feelings, too. To each, his own. I'm with C-0.

Why didn't C2 taste like coke classic?
