I had 4 coupons for $5 off a 12pack of Coke Cola.
12packs at my local supermarket are $7.

I had a rain check for buy 2 get 3 free.
but the week I redeemed the rain check, 12packs were on sale for $2.50.

so I redeemed the rain check.
five 12 packs came out to $5.

options:
1) pay the $5 and use the 4 coupons to get 4 more 12 packs.
so nine 12 packs for $5, making it $0.56 each

2) use 2 coupons to pay the $5, then get 2 more 12 packs
seven 12 packs for $0, make it $0 each

3) next week they have buy 2 get 3 free again.
pay the $5 and use the 4 coupons for that week.
Fifteen 12 packs for $5 + $8 = $13 = $0.87/each

I drink one 12pack (cherry coke zero) a week at work.
Which is the better value?

/obligatory Don't drink soda. It's bad for you, even diet soda. Drink water

Best option: Buy the store brands, they are way cheaper.

(/ducks for flying objects hurled at me :D)

No but srsly, soda's have gotten stupid expensive. I'm not advocating for water, but what I have found has helped curb my appetite for soda is drinking sparkling water instead.

Maybe the 15 12-packs for $0.87 each. Who knows if they'll be on sale again seven weeks from now, or if you'll even be alive seven weeks from now? Your heirs will inherit at least eight 12-packs of soda for free. That's even better than the seven 12-packs for $0 option! You can't go wrong.

25 years ago all Diet cola was crap. Coke Zero doesn't taste the same as Coke, but it's much better than Diet was those many years ago.

Those Sale prices are awesome, regardless of choice. The "Regular" price seems very expensive though.

Be aware that Coke is on sale this week because of the holiday. Same is true of corn, cherries, watermelon, chips, & condiments.
The next BIG sale will be for Labor Day weekend.

A supermarket that charges $7 for a 12 pack is insane. Are they hand delivered on ice?

I don't drink much soda anymore. I generally get seltzer water, or I'll get coconut water when it's cheapish. Once or twice a month I'll get some kind of boutique soda that runs ~$6/4 pack
