next week coke will be on sale, so just stock up then.

i think it is generally true that pepsi is preferred on the west coast and coke is preferred on the east coast.

out here, i never see sale's on the coke products but pepsi products go on sale all the time.

out west, it's probably more the other way.

Unfortunately, my college is infested with Coke.

you go to college on the east coast right?

i'm telling you people, east coast = coke, west coast = pepsi.

I stock up when it is on sale.

When food lion or someone else has 4 12packs for $10 or so I but at least 12. 4 at a time though, limit. I have about 15 12 packs of Diet Dr pepper and Diet coke that will hold me to the next sale. 🙂

I'm a coke person. i prefer the taste of coke over pepsi and all things equal i will always choose the coke.

however, i was at the grocery store today and noticed.

1 12 pack of coke for $4.87

3 12 packs of pepsi for $8.00

so naturally i buy the pepsi, sure i prfer the coke put i would feel taken if i bought 3 cases of coke for $15.00.

what about you guys?

3 12 packs pepsi for $8.00 every 2 weeks= $2500.00 at dentist office next month

I live in WA and out of all my friends, only 1 guy preferred Pepsi to Coke. And he moved to FL last summer.

EDIT: Also, most of our fast food chains (at least in Seattle and the Columbia basin) carry Coke instead of Pepsi.

did you ever think there might be a reason for that?

why did burger king switch from pepsi to coke about 20 yrs ago?

because pepsi came on REAL strong with 3 fast food restaraunts, KFC, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell. guess what, if i owned a local restaraunt, i'd go with coke over pepsi to, for that reason alone.

but if you look at the overall statistics, pepsi sells better on the west coast than it does on the east coast.

Perhaps, but that doesn't support your original assertion that Pepsi is more popular here than Coke is.

I always buy the cheapest. If Pepsi is the cheapest, i buy that. If it's coke, then that. If it's store brand, then it's that. Usually it's store brand. 🙂

I think thats my problem.
I can handle generic brand for anything except cola.
If I need cola it has to be the expensive stuff. I can settle for Rite or Diet Rite or RC if need be. But Shasta and Wildwood cola are gross.

I like Meijer brand coke. It taste almost like Coca-Cola but does not have that heavy syrup taste.

meijer coke>Coca-Cola
Coco-Cola>Pepsi

I'd take it cheaper, unless it actually tastes bad. I think that Coke > Pepsi, but Pepsi is still good. Some generic brands are not.
