Good idea, either that, or go to one of your neighbhors with a fake community service sheet that has some little kids that you know are in kindergarden or first grade and tell them you'll help them learn to count better in a real world situation :D

Commerce Bank out here in the northeast has free coin counting machines in their lobbies. You don't even need an account to use them. Just dump your coins in and take the receipt to the teller. And no fees.

I just like putting in 1 penny when I walk by one and then printing the receipt. Try taking 8.5% of THAT!

Last time I used one it was like 9%. Sometimes I think those machines are crooked. A friend of mine wanted to test out its accuracy so he threw in a roll of quarters with the rest of his change that he had and it only counted like 32 quarters. We had counted out the quarters and I know there were more than 40. I'd rather sit down and put my change into rolls, I have no problem going into my bank because it only takes a minute to exchange it.

What's up w/that?!??

My Washington Mutual bank will only take 3 rolls for free per day, but I can drop the other rolls off for a small charge (like $1.50 for 20 rolls).

I save all my coins and use them in the offical USPS postage stamp machine. It takes all coins, penny to both of those silly dollar coins.
