Coin Counting

It's a 5 gallon water thing, that my grandmother used to put coins into. It's not completely full, it's about half way. She gave it to my family about 6 years back for some reason, and we've had it in our kitchen since.

We've been siphoning coins (namely quarters, and namely me 😛) for various reasons over the years, yet there is still a LOT of coins in there

I picked up a lot of coin rolls from the bank today (just the paper) and was wondering where i could get something for REALLY cheap to count the coins. I have the standard 50c pennies, $2 nickles, $5 dimes, $10 quarter rolls.

I know at the place i used to work they had this yellow coin counting type device. I'm just want to pay less than 10, preferably less than 5 for the thing as it'll probally only will be used once (on my part). It was just this acrylic/plastic thing where you stacked the coins and it told you how much was there

Any help?

Don't bother rolling them up because your bank will just unroll them to count them.

Instead just bring the jug in and have the bank do the count.

coinstar takes 9 and 8/10ths of a cent. The idea here would be that there are so many coins, and at the moment i have about a day free with no real plans so i have the opportunity to do this.

BTW: the thing for counting coins should be a BM so i can actually go there and buy it today (more realistically tommorow)

I'll let you guys know how much the total amount is when i'm done and using that money to buy some computer part 🙂

I did that in HS, had about $800. Took 3 nights to roll🙁

After which I leaned to use my change always whenever possible to avoid that nightmare.
