Heh... I would dearly love to post a pic of mechBgon's infamous Uninterruptible Coffee Supply, with 4-quart RAIT backup (Redundant Array of Independent Thermoses). However, my sister's digital camera says "Memory card is full." 🙁 One of these days...
 
I can top that for flavor.

Kona Coffee. Not that 'blend' crap. 100% Kona Coffee from the Mauna Kea coffee company.
Costs about $23.00 a pound, but oh - so - smoooooooooth. 🙂
 
Coffee, I wish, I drink this mud made from half a mug of some generic instant grounds and boiling water... :Q

At least I'm not eating it dry and washing it down with Jolt... 😀
 
You computer geeks don't know anything about coffee.

I'm an accountant with an accounting staff working for me.

Coffee is the only thing that makes any accounting shop hum.

I swear that I had a boss who started reacting to caffeine so bad that he had heart problems. He drank decaf cause he still needed the semblance of a fix and switched to the real stuff (and risked his health) when the chips were down.

ps - DanC - Kona is very, very good. I usually have Gevalia coffee around, they have some very good European cafe blends and their Costa Rican peaberry (I think that's close) is very smooth as well
 
I too love the pure Kona. I remember fondly when my wife and I went to Maui and stayed at
the Intercontinental hotel. Kona every morning on the balcony of the hotel room. That's
a precious memory. I only had room for 10 pounds of the beans in my luggage, and they
really didn't last long enough after coming home. The pure Kona is hard to find, even here in the northwest. Everyone likes to blend it. 🙁
 
i have 100% colombian that i paid about $2 a pound for in colombia. got about 10 pounds every time i went there. mostly gave it as gifts.

i've seen the frat boys in accounting, and i've got to say we economists are bigger geeks. who the h3ll else would show up on tv with a polka-dot bow-tie?
 
ElFenix <accountant prejudice> Actually, economists aren't good for anything, including trying to be geeks. The bowties just mean a lack of fashion sense </accountant prejudice> <grin - just kidding>. I can prove that accountants are bigger geeks, I bet more people would want to be an economist than would want to be an accountant.

Now pardon me, I'm going to get some coffee.

A modern day financial technical analyst has a pretty high geek rating 🙂

As far as hard core coffee consumption, you can't get much more hardcore than the Navy, it is said that the Navy floats on coffee. When you're underway, staying alert at 3am in a warm dark compartment with little or no sleep in the past day or two amounts to torture, twenty cups of coffee and not being allowed to sit down help, but falling asleep standing up is not unheard of... 🙂
