do they have any were you can use the k cups and make a cup of ground coffee with it? i know they have those k cup things you can buy to put ground coffee in but ive never had any luck with those

i know they have a keurig that can make both but i just want one that you can make 1 cup with instead of a whole pot

A Keurig is a lot like a Keurig. I'm not sure what your end goal is here, you just want a knock-off Keurig that you can put K cups in?

My espresso machine will accept ESE pods, if that's your bag.

Personally, if you brewed me a cup of coffee with a keurig....and brewed a cup with an automatic drip or french press maker...I could tell them apart. I actually can taste the plastic in those K-cups. Maybe it's just because the water never gets hot enough by the time it heats up and goes through the cup and never really hits the best temp for brewing...who knows.

For 1 cup coffee makers, the best coffee I ever had was in a hotel from a Nespresso machine in a boutique hotel. The actual machine ran about $1200, but it was one that accepted foil disks rather than kcups... My assumption is the foil was a freeze-dried pack and it probably had a better heating element than the Keurig machines.

I saw the exact machine I used on sale a few times for $800, but it just wasn't worth it to me. I enjoy brewing a full pot of coffee every morning....my wife drinks a cup and I often drink 2-3...sometimes taking 2 coffee mugs to work with me.

It sounds like you're asking for a keurig that has a refillable k-cup, but doesn't, but if it does it can only make one cup and not a pot?

Assuming I know what you're asking (not sure I do) ^KMFD linked the option up there. I have that in the machine that I own. it can use regular k-cups and that reusable one that you fill on your own with ground coffee.

They are all drip machines, I guess the Keurigs and Nespressos have some pressure added to them, but with that machine, and most of them, you can get refillable cups, and will make single cups at a time

i just answered a guy who brought up those reusable k cup things.but i dont know, maybe its the actual keurig im using? i guess i just figured they had machines where you can just fill ground coffee somewhere and make a cup like that

Yes, I saw that you just answered some guy. I see it right there. :D

But that is what you are looking for, but apparently it didn't work for you. I don't know why coffee grounds spill out for you. I'm guessing you aren't using it properly? aka: you're holding it wrong!

That one is universal because it has an outer ring on the lower bit that is removable. Some of their machines require it, and some don't. You need to make sure you have it fit properly for yours....and of course that the top part is properly sealed and tight. I use espresso ground and have never seen any of that get into my coffee. Also, I wouldn't care if it did. Coffee with grounds in the bottom of your cup is kinda how it's done in many parts of the world.

maybe the problem has to do with the type of keurig i bought? plus ive filled the cups with less coffee grounds but it ends up not even making a full cup of coffee,i guess i just figured maybe they had coffee makers like keurigs that could make both ground coffee and k cup so it would work better

I was in a similar situation when I started to drink more coffee (used to only drink it at work) and I ended up just going with a drip machine. You don't HAVE to make a full pot, you can put as little or as much water/coffee as you want.

Now I make like 8 cups at a time (which is like maybe 3-4 mugs, not actually 8).

I find the issue with keurig is the cups are too small, so you don't get enough coffee out of a "large" which is basically a mug. I still use the keurig at work but I often bring my own coffee now in a thermos, I just prefer the coffee out of the drip machine.

Keurigs are insanely expensive and wasteful. If you use a blank for your own grinds, you get all the negatives. Mediocre extraction, tedious cleanup, and one little cup of coffee.

well, what else is there in terms of something that can brew k cup type coffee that isnt to expensive.ive always bought keurigs but there's alot of ground coffee brands that sound good but i end up not buying them because ive bad expierances in the past with those reuseable k cup things you can get

mostly agreed. The only reason I have one now is that I was tired of my mom complaining every time she visits, and she can't make coffee with my Aeropress.

but one cup at a time doesn't really bother me. I only take 2 very strong, very large cups every morning anyway, and this one is a faster process than my aeropress. It doesn't clean up as easy, but it's pretty good. Mine can make up to 10oz at a time, and with a decently-packed universal cup, it's fine with me. It also does "Espresso" shots, and I can request single or double shots. ...triple shots, too, but of course it's all from the same cup. I mean, this is fine in the end. Still close enough to jet fuel if you use a fine enough grind.

I think I only paid $150, it has the coffee/espresso shot option, and has an attached milk frother (the magnet spinny bottom type) that will do hot or cold, and is actually quite decent compared to earlier devices I have tried.

If you get rid of the requirement of a proprietary Kcup, moka pots and French presses make better coffee with less waste. You're still left with cleanup, and need a way to heat water.

French Press is great, but will leave some grounds in his cup. That seems to be a bad thing.

I just make two cups of espresso every morning, it's not much more hassle than a simple drip machine.
At the office, I keep a four cup coffee maker, which ends up making about 2.5 actual mugs of coffee, and it's acceptable.
I've only had a K cup a few times and wasn't a big fan.

There's also pourover. That's what I've switched to for my bulk coffee. I use a permanent filter, so I get some fines in the coffee, but a paper filter would eliminate that. They're almost free, but you need a way to heat water. I make a full pot, and pour it in my work thermos, even on weekends. Doesn't look as sexy as some options, but it keeps the coffee hot a long time, and doesn't overheat it.

For "special" coffee, I use a moka pot or French press.

its good if you just want to make 1 cup at a time, but ive found that there's alot of ground coffee's that arent available in k cups which is why im kind of wanting a machine that can make both k cups and ground coffee

I'd just as soon make 2.5 cups and dump out whatever I don't drink.
