I chose all of the above. Really the prices don't bother me, but I couldn't say "All but.."

My biggest beef with them is they roast all beans the same. It's retarded.

So if I go to SB with someone, I'll get a "Venti White Mocha". IE: Fru Fru drink. Cuz their coffee is gross.

Diedrich's FTW!

I've been drinking Starbucks Caffe Verona blend for about 15 years now, from when it was called Verona 80/20. I buy the beans and grind them myself just before brewing.

I enjoy it so much I decided to live in the Verona Apartments.

(True story, but only because they changed the name from Park Ridge after I moved in.)
I hope this is not true; If so I feel sorry for you dood
No need to feel such sorrow, I bear the pain of the changed apartment complex name with noble and understated stoicism.

Starbuck does provide health benefit for its employees- unlike Walmart- this just might be a reason someone would go in Starbuck to support the company's motto.- not my reason tho.

I buy starbuck because they are everywhere in the city. There's one in every corner. I'm in the city 12-13 hrs a day. I'm not making the trip home to grind and brew coffee at a fraction of a cost!

There is really limited amount of places where you can get coffee in the city at 8-9pm at night.

I hate the retail stores, but prefer their whole bean packaged products that I can grind on my own.

I'm not sure what they do to it at their stores, but it is aweful. It's bitter and undrinkable. I don't know if they burn the ever living crap out of it or what...but it is just atrocious.

When I buy the beans at a grocery store and grind it up on my own in the morning and brew it myself, it's smooth as can be. I stick with the Cafe Verona or the Italian roast.

When I buy whole beans, it's not really that much more than any other "top tier" coffee product.

I like starbucks for their regular coffee's and the occasional hot chocolate...err I mean cafe mocha. Too expensive for an everyday thing though.

Speaking of coffee though, anyone have a recommendation for a french press coffee maker? I've heard it makes great coffee and is also cheap.

Bodum is likely your best bet. The Chambord comes in several sizes, from a few cups to a lot more than you should be drinking 🙂. You can pick up a Bodum at a lot of department stores, including Target.

Walmart has a healthcare plan available to the vast majority of it's employees.

At any rate, why do you care? If an employee wants healthcare. they can find an employer that offers it. No one is forced to work for any employer.

I only like their espresso, their drip coffee makes me want to vomit. I could drink their espresso every single day though.

1.65? medium isn't really overpriced. you get a better sturdier cup and 1/2 1/2 instead of fake creamer like at 7/11

I loathe Starbucks as much as I loathe PF Changs, and I loathe PF Changs as much as I loathe Will Ferrel.

How much do you loathe Will Ferrel?

I loathe Will Ferrel more than I loathe a rainy day on vacation at the beach.

How about Will Ferrell? Loathe him as well? 😀

Object to the plastic squeeze pouch honey.

To wash sticky fingers you have to wait in line for the hobos to exit the bathroom, can be a l o n g wait.

Gotta have honey, but give me a honey bear puleeze.

No distinguishable tast difference between Starbazillionbucks & Peet's.

Almost as much as I loathe speeling nasi's. 😉

I like their frozen-chocolate-something-amaccinino. It's pretty good. I don't care that much for their regular coffee. Might be the lack of chicory.

I don't mind Starbucks at all. Haven't been to one in years though, but I only have coffee first thing in the morning. Once a week or so I'll have one at a friends place in the middle of the day, but some of them hate Starbucks so that's not gonna happen.
