Coffee brands you like?

I've been drinking Seattle's Best Coffee brand, their "Best Blend," and find that I like it.

I've since bought a bag of Christopher Bean Vanilla Nut Butter coffee because I really like French Vanilla. But I don't like this coffee. I made the mistake of putting chocolate creamer into this and I had to dump it. Tasted like curdled chocolate milk. This coffee by itself seems to lack the body of the Seatttle's Best that I had.

Is there really a big difference between the gourmet coffees or your standard Folger's coffee can coffees?

Any coffees I should try (we're talking stuff I can grab in Walmart of grocery stores)

I drink King's Mountain Peruvian blend quite often, I buy it right here in Maine. Stay away from Lofberg's and most of the Turkish coffees.

I had a few servings of authentic Italian Capp at a cafe in Gloucester, Mass. I was afraid the owner was going to strangle me haha. I had never felt so sick and sour to the stomach in my life.

As for commonly available stuff, I remember my grandfather drinking Folger's in the blue can alot growing up. I kind of have a fondness for it still. I will post back if I remember any more.

I don't like flavored coffees, but if you do you might try getting good regular coffee and adding flavored creamers, rice milk or even the bottled syrups used for lattes.

I prefer Starbucks coffees but some purists call them burnt. I like their Caffe Verona, Sumatra, Serena and even the House Blend. Whole beans not pre-ground of course.

Coffee should be taken black imho.

Try a nice Sumatra or Kenyan if you like robust

some reviews here

I've tried a bunch of different blends over the years but I always migrate back to 8 O'Clock coffee brand. imo, it makes the tastiest and most robust cup of coffee.

I use whole bean, ground fresh right before making a pot, and use a french press.

I roast my own green coffee beans. Drinking some very good ethiopian yirgacheffe at this very moment.
You want fresh roasted coffee, and properly roasted at that (no charcoal); no more than 2 weeks after roasting. There are a number of good quality places you can order from online.

get the pure kona coffee at sams club... its really good and cheap

Giant Eagle (store brand). I don't drink coffee often, and I always "flavor" it significantly - half milk, half coffee, and added to that mix, about 2-3 heaping tablespoons of sugar.

Heh, I don't even know what "robust" means. Does it have to do with the taste, the body, both, something else? I can't drink black coffee because it's too bitter for me. I find that French Vanilla creamer gives it a nice body though while decreasing the bitterness while still leaving behind the roasted flavor.

Yeah, calling it "coffee" isn't really accurate at that point. 5oz of coffee + 5oz milk + too much sugar. 😀

My grandmother always drinks black coffee, and she'd probably sue a restaurant if it wasn't hot enough to fuse hydrogen atoms. I find black coffee to be incredibly bitter and unpleasant, and my heat tolerance is quite low - one function of the milk is to cool down the coffee, in addition to altering the flavor and adding calories.

I've tried some "gourmet" coffees already. I tend to prefer Folgers or Giant Eagle brand. Gourmet food is wasted on me.

WTF is the point of dumpign creamer and sugar in it. I have a friend who makes it as sweet as Arizona iced tea, and that's just retarded. Sure it's great, but it' snot coffee anymore to me. It's a drink that kids can take. If you can't take the bitter taste, then you don't enjoy coffee... just like how some people hate beer (shrugs).

Why can't he just enjoy his drink. He admits it probably shouldnt be considered coffee and more of a mixed drink. No need to be snobby over it

Kicking Horse Pass is good coffee, and I generally like most starbucks blends. There's a coffee roasting cafe in the town my wife is from and they make really good coffee.

I had a Cuisinart Grind and Brew that died on me and decided to see what all the fuss was about with the french press. I picked up one of these along with an All-Clad teapot. It took a little practice to get the grind and quantity just right but I don't think I could go back to a drip maker now.

That's how I drink it too. Actually, that's how 99% of the people out here drink it. Indians just don't get black coffee and black tea. And I love me some sugar.

I do, however, prefer black tea to everything else.
