Coffee benefits at tech companies

We had a coffee tasting a while back to determine which brand we'd use. Peet's won.

We have 2 decaf, 2 dark roast and 2 medium roast carafes. We also got an espresso machine with a hopper of beans for regular and decaf. It grinds it, pulls a double shot and them steams the milk. It'll do espresso, latte or cappuccino. They also stocked up some syrups and flavorings. It is pretty good. Now if I miss my morning pour over coffee at home I still get a decent cup at work.

There are a lot of coffee options but it is a tech place so we run on caffeine.

I guess you work in the perfect office where everyone brews a fresh pot if they finish it, lunches are never stolen out of the break room fridge...However, in the real world, some dipshit is bound to leave their used pod in the machine....at least this way, you don't have to worry about that....

Like i said, it's hard work throwing that extra pod in the garbage :grinning:

Honestly, I REALLY wish companies did have some beer on tap. When something pisses you off with work it sure would be a great way to relieve stress. Problem is too many people wouldn't know how to hold themselves to just one so they have to ruin it for everyone 🙄

That would be dangerous at my office because half the people turn crazy like frickin werewolves with some alki. They're the reason our Christmas parties don't have open bars any more 🙁

Like I said, a few people have to ruin things for everyone.

We had something even worse... we do an annual training and typically invite current interns as well... apparently some of the interns got a little too shit faced and somehow thought it would be a good idea to go skinny dipping at your employers training property.... smart kids these days.

We now have a coffee and juice bar at my company. There are baristas that can make you juice, smoothies, or espresso drinks. We also have 5+ varieties of locally roasted drip coffee that you can get self-serve.

It definitely beats the automatic espresso machine we used to have.

We used to have those 5 gallon water bottle deliveries. The company cut those out to save money. Installed "filtered water fountains" that count the number of bottles saved.

There's a Starbucks and a Coffee Bean within walking distance.

We can either go to the cafeteria and buy crap or we have a communal pot (at least it's a Bunn) that brews Yuba or some other cheap crap. But hey, at least it's only $0.25 a cup.
