Code textblock?

I was wondering if there was anyway to include a tag code which would auto-indent code? This would be extremely useful for the "Software - Applications, Programming and Games" forum, where users often discuss code. Using the default formatting, the code is not very readable. Thanks!

I would like to have a fixed width tag for code as well. It would also help with statistics posted in the DC forum. Perhaps you could send a suggestion to the makers of Fusetalk, the software that runs this forum. 🙂

Guys no need to suggest, it exists its just not turned on.

You can attach preformatted code to a message and it will keep indents and spacing, its just not used here.

I can't make that call, from what I see people rarely post code blocks in there not sure if its worth the abuse it will probably get. We have far to many people that would abuse it and cause content to scroll im sure.

Can you do something like enable in in the Software forum only?

Not many nefs go in there, so it might remain abuse free if you can do that.

Ok, I'm not sure if I'm understanding correctly here. Are you talking about message attachments, sort of like email attachments, or are you talking about "tags" like are used in the quote function? What I'd like to see is the latter, as that would help tremendously in stats threads in the DC forum, and I think it would help out the software guys as well. 🙂

Haircut: I doubt it's something that could be enabled on a per-forum basis, but I'll leave Zuni to provide the official answer, as I must admit that I know absolutely nothing about Fusetalk (except what Zuni has expounded upon in this forum). 😱
