Well, I'm going to reformat soon but I don't want to lose my COD4 profile which would make me level all over again. Is there some file I can copy to a USB drive so I can keep it?
 
yeah

there is an auto tool that does this, but you can also manually do this, it's sooo simple you'll laugh...

files:
config mp.cfg
mpdata

don't know if there is an underscore in the syntax of the first file but...

back those up

i think the tool is called; CallofDuty4Backup0.9.2 sep.exe

So wait, CoD4 multiplayer profiles are stored on the local machine? For some reason, that doesn't seem right...

yep, which is why it's so easy to get max rank by d/l'ing someone's that has gotten all the way up.
