COD4 MP Games

I guess I suck at the google.
What type of games are the different COD4 MP games?
I know Free For All = kill everyone.
But Headquarters, Domination, Search and Destroy, etc, escape me.

Headquarters is where there is a radio placed randomly on a map. The object of the game is to capture the radio and hold it as you accumulate points. When you are holding the radio if you die you don't respawn until the other team has destroyed it. It's pretty fun, and it can get hectic when you're the last one left on defense. 😛

S&D is just like CS. You take the bomb to the bombsite, plant it, and the other team tries to defuse.

While playing online, I noticed that during one of the loading screens it said that in Search and Destroy when you die you don't respawn. I've only played it a few times but I know that's not true. Any reason why it says that?

In Domination you try to capture and hold the 3 flags scattered around the map to get points. To capture you have to be close to the flag and there can't be any enemy players close by. Team Death Match is just two teams killing one another and seeing who gets the most killed.

Because on most S&D settings you really don't respawn when you die.

That's because you don't. It's round-based rather than a fluid battle. Maybe you were playing Sabotage, which is basically S&D with respawns.
