CoD2 Freezing

I have tried this in many other forums but none can help me...I hope someone here has an idea of whats going on...anyways heres whats happening:

Call of Duty 2, after about playing for 5-10 mins. will freeze, but the ambient sounds (background noises) will still be there, sometimes the sounds from other players' nades etc. will go on, after about 10 secs., It will start repeating the sounds very quickly like it froze and its about to restart, then...It will go back to normal, as if nothing happened, I will be in a different spot, like I held down 'W' that whole time. I just reformatted after I upgraded my Mobo CPU and GPU, and it didnt use to do this. At first I thought it was the drivers, but after DLing the latest, its still happening, And now Im pretty sure its the GPU (nVidia 7600gt) is overheating...any help appreciated, thanks.

Is this a new system?
What PSU are you using?
try playing other demanding games see if results are the same

It happens much less in other games...but it still hapens

I just got it at 72*c! At load

Thats way too hot. What case are you using and what is your fan setup? What heatsink and fan?

The stock HS on the GPU...Its a crappy case, but it has 5 80mm fans inside...other temps are normal
