COD:MW2 finally on sale. 33% off @ steam

This should be a 50%-75% off sale. I was going to buy it for $30, but now since they're being dicks about lowering the price I'm not buying until it hits $20. I already have it for the 360 I don't play anymore after all. The expansions shouldn't be over $8 to begin with also. It's all a giant FU.

Because I decided against Xbox... Paying $10 extra for lesser graphics and beyond that paying the now $60 a year to get multiplayer... Plus, it has awesome graphics and "OK" multiplayer. I've actually repurchased quite a few games to get the extra resolution and graphical detail, but they have all been $10 or less on sale.

EDIT: I don't really put a lot of the blame on the company, I put the blame on the people buying it at $60 a year after launch...

I have the 360 but wanted the PC so I can play it 3d but not at this price.
May be $10-$15 is what I consider reasonable.

Bought the first one on a Steam weekend sale. It was fun, but too arcadey, respawn horde for me. It also made me remember that I played the demo before and thought the same.

Care to explain why? I've played several games 100x worse than CoD2 or are you just jumping on the bandwagon? SP was fun, MP was fun except when there was major lag or several cheaters, which was often but not like every single game.

plus the fact that for a PC game it's still REALLY pricey considering it's a sale price and the game has been out for almost a year.


i just don't get what the point of this sale was. i guess maybe trying to get some sales from the people that played the MOH beta?? that's really the only thing i can come up with...



but even so... why not just preorder MOH or Black Ops instead of buying this?

SP was crap. I've read stories about space aliens that have more basis in reality than MW2 does.

The MP is complete garbage. Half the time you sit there waiting to find a game to get in. Then you get in just in time to migrate to a new host. Now you're playing on the new host and notice that there are at least 2 people cheating blatantly. I have only played 3 rounds so far where someone isn't cheating in the last 3 days.

Let's see what else. The host has a major advantage. The weapons all do the same amount of damage, which is too much on all of them. 90 percent of the time I don't even get killed by another player. The killstreaks (deployable aimbots) do all the work in this game. The only way you can even remotely not get frustrated is to just sit in one spot and camp a corner until you get a killstreak to rack up kills for you. They took out juggernaut because it was overpowered and stupid, and instead they put in painkiller which makes people absorb like 15 bullets before they die. I could go on an on about stuff that makes this game suck. It's never ending.

There are maybe 2 playable maps in the game. The rest are just a dark gray mess for the dark gray characters to blend into.

Now I can't believe you mistakenly called this crap game cod2. The real cod2 is about 10,000x the game this steaming pile of manure is and it was released about 5 years ago.

Edit: I forgot that people can knife you from 30 feet away too.

I meant CoD MW 2, apparently the MW didn't register.

So the weapons do too much damage but the other players can't kill you and then it takes 15 shots to kill someone? please explain how the weapons do too much damage but yet no one kills you or it takes so long to kill another player?

I'll agree that sometimes it can take a little time to get into a game but once your in, there's not much issue after that. The only time the game changes hosts is when the host quits. It doesn't randomly change hosts for no reason.

I don't have problems with the killstreak rewards. In most maps they are extremely easy to avoid or shoot them down with a rocket launcher. for turret guns come up behind them or use the cold blood perk (i think thats the one that prevents them from seeing you - haven't played the game in a bit).

I think most people exaggerate the cheating. Of all the people I thought were cheating, I've only caught maybe 3 blatantly cheating. According to steam I have 194 hours into the game. You say over 3 days, how many hours is that? for all i know, you could have just played 1 map per day.

Sounds like you just suck at the game.

I forgot the mention the fact that I joined a game and the host hacked the game and forced my account to be level 70 so I didn't get to have any fun leveling up. I'm not able to reverse what he did.
