COD-MW

I have had COD-MW for a long time now. We went right into online/multi player, and have been doing that exclusively from almost the beginning.

The other day, just for the heck of it, I wanted to try out 'SinglePlayer' again. I put the disk in the drive and clicked on the .exe icon... got constant error window stating disk not in drive... The disk is perfect/unmarked/has hardly ever been used...

What's up?

One time I installed a game from one disc drive, and tried to play it in another which caused this problem. I really wanted to use the other drive though. I found a spot in the game's .ini file that said something like disc drive = G. Changed it to the drive that I wanted.

Of course I could have just played it from the other drive.

Wao, that's something new.

I think it was Morrowind.. not positive though. It would only let you play the game from the same drive that you installed it. (unless you changed the drive letter it assigned in the ini file)

Hmm...

When I installed COD about @ a year ago or so, I had a DVD benQ and another...a Lite-On...maybe I installed it thru the lite-On, which I subsequently removed and now have just the benQ.... think this is prob?

Oddly enough it could be. I have several games that use Starforce. After installing them some of my other games stopped working even though they didn't have a scratch on them. I found out the solution was to install a second drive, a Lite-On drive, which would read the disks my premium drive wouldn't.

I have no idea is that is your problem, but thought I would mention it after your last post.
