God damnit...just joined a hacked server where it automatically levels you up and gives you money. I went from level 10 i think to 46 in kill and it gave me like $100,000.

I guess you can't start over can you?

Re: Castro/JFK, When you beat the game (I think there are other ways to unlock it as well), you're treated with an awesome little intro clip that transitions into the "five" zombie campaign (Think L4D with some slightly more oddball characters). Haven't actually put any time into it, but it's pretty amusing .

You could in MW2. There was a big thread on the Steam forums. But it's probably too late for you now. Something to do with not letting it sync with Steam Cloud and using a backup version (like your previous level) stats file.

Gahh.... that's so annoying.

That's the one thing that turned me off after playing a few hours of MW2.

Hate to see it back. Guess I have to try and back up my profile everyday. :\

i forgot about that. you have to hit max level first before you can go to prestige, right? what is the max level?

anyone else notice that the arrows to change settings only goes one way?
Like if you set max points on a game to 10000 but you want 7500 instead, if you hit the left arrow to go backwards, it still goes forward so you have to cycle through the entire list.

yes it is a steam app even when bought offline.

In MW2, every level there is a copy of your stats file made automatically. So when you got hacked to level 70, you would Ctrl-Alt-Del Steam or something, because when you exit the game it syncs with Steam cloud. Then replace your current stats file with the previous one, and Steam would then re-sync next time. Something like that.

Though when the hacked games were common in MW2, I always waited a few seconds when joining a new game. It was pretty obvious with the text chat and everything if the server was hacked. So I just didn't get a kill until I knew the game was fine. Anyway I only had like 1 or 2 games that were hacked.

It'd be nice if they'd incorporate some kind of "undo" feature in the game erasing your progress from your last match. That way, those who didn't want to be ranked up could go back to where they were.

You know, since it's unlikely they'll fix the hack.
