COD Black ops 40$ on steam. Weekend special

Don't do it,

There is some glitch or bug that screws up your rank. If you read Treyarch or black ops forums you will see a lot of people bitching about it. Basically you will be online playing and all of a sudden you will be reset with no stats. I wasn't too far into it but I was prestige level 1 and rank 40 (50 is the highest) Then boom was reset to rank 0 with 0 prestige. I had to start over. All my challenge data was lost.

What a pain. Otherwise the game is pretty good. Single player is nothing special.

btw, I've been playing the free weekend and I think it's pretty fun. I'll probably end up waiting for bf3 though.

Map packs should be free like back in the days. Sucks the way some part of gaming has turned out.
 
I tried it.

I was not impressed.

BF: BC2 is a much better game.

All the servers I found had such ridiculous rules that were not set at a global server level that I gave up.

Who says crouch only when walking around the map?

WTF happened?

I started death-matching on Duke Nukem 3D and Quake, that is all BS to me.
 
Yes, I tried it last weekend and found it has some bugs, seems not worth of that price so I uninstalled it soon. I think for 40 bucks there are lots of alternate choices.
Maybe wait for a lower price or bugs fix.
