Re-installed my OS and I can't find my COD 4 disk. I still have the case and activation code. Can I buy a used game and activate it with my code?
 
You can download it. I think there are some original images on the internet. Just don't use crack or keygen.
It's kind of a gray area. But I don't think it's illegal.
 
If you have steam, I think you can d/l it by going to Add Game at the bottom left of the app and hit "activate a product on steam". You will be prompted for the cd key. Never tried, but worth a shot.
 
Steam didn't recognize the key. Exploring other options.

Got it going. Updated it, put back my profile and it's running. Having some punk buster issues though. Getting kicked for losing packets.
