My initial impression is that it delivers you right into the action like COD. I enjoyed my first short play through quite a bit.

Yes I agree, but I hate how a game thrusts you out of the suspension of disbelief with really crappy graphics

Very fun, I will try out fraps later, I started it with intentions of stopping after a bit, but I just ended up playing through the whole thing 🙂

All settings on high with smoke everywhere I only dipped into low frames when using the machine gun....

1400*1050 4xAA 8xAF everything I could find set to highest 😀

hmmm, my FPS looks low

i'm getting 25ish @ 1600*1200 w/ 4xAA/16AF max detail with:

3200+ (stock)/7800 gtx stock

all settings maxed out at 12*10 6AA 8AF vsync and all Im getting are 25-40fps
anyone know why Im so low? is it that I only have the 12piplines?
hopefully once its optimized Ill get a 30fps min, thatll be sweet.

Ive been thoroughly enjoying DOD Source, so I hope this game will compare in gameplay. Lack of HDR makes me sad, because it is AWESOME in DOD.

25-30fps using in game FPS reporter (45fps when looking at ground.)


All settings ultra high/1680x1050 4AA MSAA and some image improvement tweaks in rivatuner

Same settings, 70fps in DOD-S timedemo bench

About 75 in BF2 same settings

Both of these games are awesome! Graphics on COD2 are really good too... I'd give it to DOD overall but COD is like 85% as good

How do you check your FPS?

IMHO DOD is a joke and I sure any hardcore first person shooter wargamer would agree with me. I played both so I can honestly say COD 2 is amazing and I just put in my preorder.
