Coca Cola Life is 1/2 sugar 1/2 stevia coke, tastes just like classic coke to me. Oh and the sugar is cane sugar not hfcs. But yet Coke charges 2-3x the cost of Coke Zero/Classic Coke for Coke Life so thus of course it will fail. This is the best soft drink product on the market I think maybe ever.

It's not going to fail because of the price, it's going to fail because it's a useless fake gimmick at a high price. It's still a drink loaded with sugar, caffeine and other things that are not all that healthy. The health conscious will shun it because it fails at being a healthy alternative to Coke and the core Coke drinker will shun it because it costs more and tastes funny.

I'm more than fine with a coke zero or diet pepsi, normal coke is way to sweet now...

Normal coke makes most people I know sick myself included so I don't know WTF is going on with soda.

The only way it would be worth the price is if it was REALLY classic coke, with coca in it. The energy drink that pays for itself.

As an avid consumer of coke I will have to check this out.

I tried it and thought it combined the two worst aspects of normal Coke and Diet Coke. It still has like 2/3 of the calories, but it also has the ass aftertaste of Diet. The problem with price is that it usually is in a weird packaging that doesn't go on sale much (like 4 or 6 pack of glass bottles).

I tried some Cherry Coke Zero and it wasn't bad but I couldn't stand to drink it much as it tasted flat.

I stay away from soda. I like to drink sugar free or low sugar drinks like Monster, and Minute Maid lemonade. Or, even just plain water.

i never could understand how people can say the artificially sweetened one 'tastes just like the regular one'
i've got a pack of bagels that tasted normal after the first few bites but there was a weird aftertaste. i skim down the ingredients... corn syrup... OK fine... and all the way near the bottom is sucralose. i guess they're using it as some sort of enhancer?

Thread save!

cherry cola

someone told me monster could make my heart explode, so i don't drink it

but that low-calorie minute maid lemonade is great stuff

I pretty much quit drinking soda. ~once a month I'll buy a (usually)4pack of some kind of boutique soda. I especially like Fentimans and Maine Root ginger ale. This month I got some julmust for the season.

Aspartame is horrible for you. This is a great product, I agree. Pepsi Next is also good - has less of the stevia aftertaste than the Coke product. But really, both are better than their diet counterparts.

Why is aspartame horrible for you? It's a trip entire for crying out loud. It's fine.

Getting better documented that aspartame totally fucks up your gut bacteria. I guess this is kind of important and can have many effects on your body.

And both are worse than the regular version. Since they're not actually healthier and only marginally lower in calories what's the point? If you have to deal with the shitty aftertaste anyway then at least get the one without the calories.

If anything, the natural conclusion of your logic is don't drink anything but the real thing, which most likely translates to don't drink pop at all.

Or just drink real soda in moderation, and move your ass once in awhile.

I can't believe we haven't developed something decent tasting with fewer calories than sugar. There's so much money to be made. I wonder if it's even possible?

The natural conclusion of my logic (and logic requires a brain, so that explains the confusion) is to either drink something that tastes good or to drink something that doesn't kill you. The regular stuff tastes good, the diet doesn't cause diabetes and obesity. So either of those at least has *some* merit. The in-between stuff tastes like ass and still has a shitload of calories, so whatever merit the other two options have it lacks completely. Need a Venn diagram?
