Heard the title track on the radio this morning. The drums are insane and it's just a lot heavier of a feel than their previous albums.

Definitely some good stuff to wake you up on the morning commute.

I need to get out and pick up the CD.

I tried to start a thread on tuesday when it came out, but no one else seemed psyched about it. Still trying to get a copy of it. Didn't want to have to order it, but not a single record store in Baton Rouge has it. The samples from all the tracks sound incredibly good. Too bad Stanton won't be touring with them.

Where did you find the track samples? I've been trying to find some all morning.

Doh! Sorry. Didn't even think to search. I will probably have a little better luck finding a CD in stock than you will. Something tells me that they are little more popular in the state of LA than they are in in IA.

Finally found a place that had it in stock.

HOLY CRAP! The title track is quite possibly the best hard rock song I've heard in the last 10 years. It's 7 minutes of raw rock bliss.

I haven't had much of a chance to listen to the rest of the album. So I can't really comment on it. But, I think the $13 I paid for the CD was worth it for the last song (In the Arms of God) itself.

I've only ever liked a few songs by COC but I do have the new album. I really haven't listened to it much. I also have the new Sinch and Mudvayne so I've been listening to those.

Two recommendations:

Spineshank - Self Destructive Pattern
Element Eighty - Self titled

Going see them tomorrow night in New Orleans. Getting psyched. They are playing with ATP, Crowbar, and Suplecs. Should be a rockin' show.

COC was just awesome last night. They had Stanton on drums and he's just badass. I ended up with a setlist! Overall they played about 17-18 songs total. LOTS of good stuff from over the years. They were very tight as a band. Pepper is great on guitar/vocals.

Crowbar was really good also. Their set was pretty long also. Really heavy stuff live.

They did a tribute to the Tampa people and to Dimebag. They also had some friend of theirs (not sure if he was local to TN or what) come up and play guitar in the middle of a song. He did a long solo and it was cool.

Overall they are great live. Solid band and you should go see this tour if you can!

Saw them live at HOB in Myrtle Beach. GREAT GREAT show. Weedeater(not on the tour anymore) was especially awesome. Too bad during the tribute to Dime, stupid redneck idiots got into a fight then got a bunch of poeple into fights with the security people. My wife and I left when crap started going down.

Wow. Haven't heard those guys since the 80s. Kinda nice to see someone still cares about a bunch of old farts like that. I'll have to give it a listen.
