I have a cobalt qube here at my school, and my instructor has asked me to find a place to buy another. Does anybody else know where to look? I've googled and ebayed for one, but nothing relvant has shown up. I was hoping maybe somebody would be able to direct me in the right direction, or if they know where to get a replacement?

Never having heard of that one, does that mean the psu is some odd, non-standard size? Do you know if it's ATX, ATX-12, mATX, SFX, what size and shape?

That's a Sun Microsystems product, try them. Or get a real server? :)

What are the specs on the power supply? Been at least 5-6 years since I've seen a Cobalt Qube. As I recall, it has an external 12V power supply and, as such, should be rather straightforward to replace using a generic 12V power supply (any online surplus electronics shop will carry lots of these in various sizes). Just make sure the new power supply supplies at least as much current as the original one. If it's a DC power supply (I don't recall), you'll also need to make sure the power connector is wired for the correct polarity. Other than that you're pretty much good to go.

if you dont move it alot you could always make it external i have seen a couple people do that with a shuttle i belive that is a waste of a shuttle but for your unless you move it alot you could run it external.
