coasters?

hey i didnt know where to post this so...

recently i bought a 50 pack of generic cdrs and have been warned about getting coasters when recording them...

so far ive recorded about 15 cds with no apparent errors... how do i know if its a coaster? must i check every file on every cd after its done or is it safe to assume that if the cd completed recording successfully then its good?

nah, you will know a "coaster" as soon as you burn it, the CD simply won't work. Another good indicator would be a "bufer underrun error".
 
My dilemma would be if its a coaster or a frisbee.... its a tough thing to determine for us college guys 😀
