Coalition forces 'seek immunity'

Ha,

After Iraq becomes a sovereign country again in 30 June, the remaining foreign troops would be subject to Iraq laws. US and UK now want their troops to remain immune from prosecution by Iraqis! Both countries are now negotiating on gaining a new UN security council resolution over the matter. Getting this is likely to be controversial after the abuse/murder cases in Iraq...

It would serve the abusers right being judged and imprisoned by Iraqis after what they did...

Better yet, why dont we just give them to the terrorists! That would show them! :|

😕 Please tell me how terrorists have anything to do with this? Are you implying that the Iraqi government to be are all terrorists?

I am sure they would get a fair trial, just like the US gave them... oh wait!
Well, anyway they would surely be treated according to Geneva convention, just like US treats their prisoners of war... no, wait!

nope! But considering there was no government in place at the time of the "crime", then it makes it moot doesnt it?

Hey! You broke a law that we hadnt even made yet! LoL

You wouldnt be able to sign me up fast enough to take piling on top of a few other fellow prisoners naked as a punishment. Hell, they should get a free rape and murder in there for that kind of "torture".

I hope really old.

All the more reason to turn it over to the Iraqi governing council/interim government on June 30th and wave bye bye on the 1st of July.
I don't believe our remaining there after June 30 is going to make a whole lot of difference either way.
