Manchin and Sinema probably lighting a J together.

“The science is clear,” United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres said in December. “Unless the world cuts fossil fuel production by 6% every year between now and 2030, things will get worse. Much worse.”

When the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) research station “began collecting CO2 measurements in the late 1950s, atmospheric CO2 concentration sat at around 315 PPM,” the Washington Post reported. “On Saturday, the daily average was pegged at 421.21 PPM—the first time in human history that number has been so high.”

Love when garbage people admit that they want to leave the world a worse place than they found it. Makes it obvious when there is no common ground or conversation to be had.
looking pretty darn good to me. clean air, water food production up, larger percentage of the planet has greened. so yeah, more to do but great progress

Like I said, no conversation is possible with this trash. In the middle of a man made extinction event due in large part to excess CO2 and warming temperatures (along with the rest of the usual suspects like deforestation), a response of “excellent news” is really not worth any effort.

like most conservatives who only care about the short term and don't care about the long term consequences.

"China pollutes worse than us, we are doing our part"
"I'm not driving a damn Prius, I need a Ford F-150 to get groceries. Fucking Biden and his high gas prices"
"It's weather, not climate, it was warmer than this millions of years ago, before Christ. Oh wait..."

Etc.

Not good. Not good at all.

Can you make it look like a link from a reputable source that believes in peer reviewed science? Because that sounds like outright bullshit. Do India and China know about this clean air breakthrough? The American West will love to hear this good news about water, do tell.

larger percentage of the planet has greened.

Doesn't matter to you that it will be short lived? Or that places like the Arctic turning green is actually very, very bad? Our oceans becoming more acidic is a huge problem, what is your silver lining there? Extra points if you can avoid making the false 'extra greenery will absorb all that extra C02' appeal.

There is going to be a pronounced food problem in equatorial areas of the planet, and pollution, plastics and development are endangering water supplies pretty much everywhere. I wish your optimism had something to support it, more than opinion I mean.

"What-Me-Worry?" would have been equally revealing.

I thought at first it must be sarcasm.

Ah... Global Warming, let's see... let's see...

La Nina is clearly having an... impact. We are on the downward side.... of the new normal as of 2015. Still higher than most previous El Nino's.
AKA, we be cooking.

almost invariably, the people i see bitching about gas prices are people who drive trucks and don't need them at all, or don't need them to daily (in which case - buy a prius and rent a truck when you need it).

one of my coworkers was telling me how someone else made fun of him for driving a honda fit vs. their giant truck/suv. they had a real hard laugh until they realized he was hitting almost 40mpg on his commute and spent a fraction of the money in fuel. then they got a beater fuel economy car too. funny that.

I like it when you live down to my expectations.

Don't even get me started on the supposed utility of having standby hauling at your ready. Always be prepared. /s
