My eyes burn. Last week, my co-worker was wearing this top that somehow did not manage to keep her love handles from spilling out. She was not even stretching her arms up. She was walking with her backs towards me with her hands on her side. Her top was just plain short. If she's trying to hit on me, would that be sexual harassment?

The point is that everyone should be responsible in dressing appropriately when going to work...unless you are a mascot.

I had an older office manager a few years back that would come and sit in my cubical to discuss projects, and while he was speaking he would pick random objects off my desk and pick his ear with them. Pens, paper clips, pencil eraser...I think it was a nervous reaction and he didn't know he was doing it, but still!

So she opened your mail basically?

Federal offense.

Yes, she opened my mail. But regardless if it was an invitation to some conference, the bottom line is that one should show some manners and not open mail that is clearly not intended for them.

everything that comes in the mail here is opened before it is sent to anyones desk. it has a date stamp and is perused for "appropriateness". this is not an illegal act (well, mebbe it is, but i dont see it as one and im no lawyer), as the company owns anything that is sent to it, regardless of the employee it is addressed to. i really dont mind, not like im having pr0n sent to myself at work. although that would be funny watching that lady that opens mail face if she did come across something like that.

sounds like shes just an idiot.

Seriously!? I've never met anyone so unaware of themselves.

There's a guy who works for another project at our company who constantly farts and then giggles. I think he's also the guy who never makes coffee but takes all of it.

No one is too bad at work, but we tend to stay to our own projects. The other projects are against everything that we stand for and stand for everything that we're against.

what is with CLIPPING YOUR NAILS at work?? WHHYY? why must you do it THERE??!!
*crflink*crflink*flink*crflink*

FCKU!!

Fckuing right! Don't they have any work to do? Why can't they wait till they get home!!

My how annoying sounds carry.

Could be worse... imagine someone with an uncontrollable gas problem ... then nail clipping would be like a walk in the park :p

we had a field super that was 68 yrs old, farted incessantly and clipped his nails at his desk. his puter always seemed to find spyware on it no matter what i did to protect or teach him how to be more safe, and he always said he didnt even GET on the net at work. evar.

now, this person worked in the same company and annoyed pretty much everyone in the company, could clear out a room with his constant farts. he was also the reason we had a road crew of 7 people threaten to quit if they got put on one of his jobs. he was also a personal friend of mine and my boss, harley riders still, even tho he retired a couple years ago.

what i really hate is hearing the smooth jazz from the ladys desk across from me, despite asking her to turn it down to her own personal space only (like everyone else does) and her constant phone calls from her daughter and her "customers" from her home business. kind of annoys me.

A few years ago, I used to have to deal with UAW union members. If I picked up a piece of paper/trash off the floor or moved something like a basket/box out of the pathway, a UAW member would wrote me up for "management working...violating collective bargaining with UAW..blah blah blah.."

i love messing with union rules. i used to set up concert stages for a living, but we werent a union crew. when we knew the show was going to LA or san diego we would pack all the cable upside down and counterclockwise. doing this would drive them insane, to the point we would get official letters about how to wrap and stow cable. they really couldnt do much about it tho, az is a right to work state and not controlled by unions. good times, good times. we also really hated the crews in both those towns. they were real asshats.
