Co-worker may get demoted for browsing the internet via Bloomberg terminal

I wouldn't want to work for a company that didn't turn a blind eye to a little web surfing.
If they are so uptight that you can't check ESPN for 5 min., or your personal webmail, they would be total assholes on everything else too.

The policy is very strict but enforcement has been lax until these recent massive hacks...
 
At my previous job, I did discover the Bloomberg terminal allows me to bypass certain blocked innocuous sites. The browser didn't have a url bar though so the only way I knew how to get to my destination was using "FUWB" which had a link to google maps where I then navigate to google search so I could type in the search query that would land me on the site I'm trying to get to. 😛

I think I used it to visit some news sites that were blocked cause they were under the "gaming" category which I found ridiculous cause youtube wasn't blocked lol.
