Co-Worker just passed...

One of the people in my office passed away this morning...

He came into the office this morning and was working just fine... He started coughing and really getting into it before noon, someone offered him a drink and noticed that he was actually spitting up blood... They called 911, Ambulance came and another co-worker hopped in with him for the ride...

He never made it to the hospital...

We do not know what happened or anything. He's never been sick, always in a great mood... This is so unexpected... and there's not much work being done around here this afternoon...

This sucks, very seriously...... 🙁

That's very sad. I can only imagine the impact something like that would have. I've had a couple co-workers die over the years but none of them died on the job.

Sounds like esophageal varices...or pulmonary embolism, among other possibilities. I reckon its better to go quick rather than hang on the fringes for years declining.

was it totally unexpected? had he taken sick days a few days before this happened?

Very unexpected... and no, Nothing... in the 3 years I've known him he hasn't even ever been sick...

I have no idea what it would have been...

Really sucks for his wife and children...

Wow, that does sound like a possible poisoning🙁

And I would imagine he was coughing because his lungs were filling with blood.

a guy in my town was driving down the road just like everybody else the other day in an f-150. while going 35 mph down the road a tree came down right on top of the cab of the truck and smooshed him like a pancake. died instantly and thr body was unrecognizable.

you can take all the precauction you want in life it dosen't matter. theres always something thats going to kill you.

Perhaps a heart attack, but that would not account for the blood...

And I would highly doubt poisoning... When/If I ever find out, I'll update... but I'm not sure.... really disturbing...

i worked with a teenage girl that died from spinal menangitis(sp?). she had the "flu", took a sick day, later that night she awoke puking with bruises all over her body. was doa. we all had to take some antibiotics just to be safe. one kids mom was so scared, she made him go get a spinal tap as the docs said that was the only way to tell for sure without symptoms. he said it hurt like a motherfacker.

my best friend was sparring with a ~40 guy in karate one day and the guy just fell over on his face, dead.

its odd when people are just gone like that.

See if you can do something for his family, they need all the support they can get

Now? or wait until next week during the funeral, etc... ?

The last thing I would want to do is upset them even more...

Any suggestions? Besides the flowers & Sympathy card?
