Co-worker is a douche

I'm going to build my brother an adjustable height desk like the one linked on the first page. He's quite the hippy (too old to be hipster) but does not have a Mac, despite all of his kids having one. He does have sciatica🙁 Hope it helps him.

Tell him you can't....

Stand him.

This is just this week's example. Last week it was a ball chair. Next week he'll probably be barefoot because shoes are bad. Who knows. It just seems like he focuses more on this stuff than work.

It seems like you focus on other people and BS they do than work.

😉

One of my co-workers recently converted his area to standing but he definitely isn't the douchebag type, or at least from what I know of him. I don't think I could do that; if I stand for more than 45 minutes or an hour my back starts hurting.

OP, that's not a douche move.

You hear many colleagues hate flat ass sitting all day and want a way to work while standing.

Cubes are now adapting with higher desks and elevated chairs.

At my last company, we all had desks that could be elevated so that we could stand at them. They were great when you had others at your desk reviewing/collaborating on stuff.

All our desks are motorized for height adjustment. I like swapping from sitting to standing a couple times a day.

CEOs and company owners who stand up all day at their desks = 0.....that's just for the "little" people.......:hmm:

I actually think standing desks are not a bad idea. Staying semi-fetal all day is fucking ruinous to one's health over time, but it seems a lot of effort to stand 🙂

I think I'd prefer a standing desk ... I probably would weigh substantially less and be in better shape if I worked at a standing desk over the last 12 years since I've been working at desks....
