heh

When I was young and foolish and in Texas, I saw this guy discard a cigarette butt. I returned it to him and said 'you dropped this.'

He scowled, but did not proceed to shoot me.

I don't think I would call them treehuggers. And as for cyclists, it is SF and they might be gay and just showing off their butts.

Still, if I knew people like this were around, I'd antagonize them. The self-righteous must be punished! :D

About 10 years ago, I was the crane operator for a company that also was a tree company. We went into downtown San Rafael and took down what was the tallest Redwood in the downtown area. The roots of the tree were pushing up the foundation of a couple of buildings, and removing it was deemed to be the only solution. So...here comes the tree-huggers...video cams, protest signs, the whole works...One maggot came into my work area with a video camera and confronted me about it..."WHY are you taking down this beautiful tree?" he screamed at me all the while taping...I pointed to my boss, and said "Because that man is paying me to...got any problems with it, go talk to him." He kept running his mouth, and I finally told him to get the fvck out of my work area, or I'd have him arrested for violating the state safety laws...(no, it was pure BS, but he didn't know that...) We proceeded to take down that beautiful 160+ foot redwood in about 20' pieces, and off to the lumber mill they went...

and if i ever did ..i would have changed the ending dramatically....in my favor....with me kicking their ass and getting laid in the end with a beautiful jogger woman that happened to be passing by....

Three cyclists then approached him and told him to pick it up--though I'm unsure what sort of language was used. He then told them to go to hell, being the charming British guy that he is, which resulted in a couple of the guys punching him directly in the face. He then walked on, not wanting to escalate it.

He himself is about 6'4 230-240, a rather imposing figure..and he describes them as tiny, though probably a lot more fit than he is.

I'm not really going to take any sides here, since I didn't actually witness it all..but has anyone ever get into an altercation with tree huggers before?

So he litters and tells people to go to hell instead of taking 2 seconds to correct the mistake? Loser...

felt strong enough to tell them to go to hell when told not to litter... but didn't feel compelled to do anything when they hit him?

Walking contradiction? :p

Granted I probably wouldn't have punched the guy, he definitely should have picked up his trash and thrown it in the trash can.

I hate people who throw their trash on the ground like the world is their trash can. Fvckers. :|
