CnQ does not seem to be working for me. I have the AMD driver installed for my X2, and CnQ is set to "auto" in the BIOS, but my temps never drop below the idle levels when CnQ is off. Also, the AMD Dashboard always shows the clock and voltage at max, regarless of load levels.

You're not alone. I have a motherboard where cnq only works with xp, not windows 2k.

Set it to "on" in the bios if that setting exists. If not, leave it on auto.

Go into control panel/power options and set the power sceme to "minimal power management"

Go to Control Panel --> Power Options. Under Power Schemes, set it to "Minimal Power Management". Took me forever to get it working on the X2 boxes my coworkers and I put together recently as it wasn't documented well anywhere.
