I just made the mistake of going to the front page of CNN - WTF???

If you go, don't say I didn't warn you.
 
I mean, I feel bad for her, but there are just some things I don't want to see with no warning.

I suppose it's better, but just barely. She went from horrifying in a very direct and understandable way, to horrifying in a weird bottom of the uncanny valley way.

Going to CNN.com is a mistake, but I don't know why you're getting so worked up about someone who had a face transplant done.

There are far more horrifying things happening every day that should bother you far more than someone who looks a little abnormal...
 
It looks like she has a dead woman's face sewed onto her head. Perhaps she will gain more control over the facial muscles over time and allow the face to "come alive" so to speak, but if not I'd say she looked better before.

she was a battered woman. Lye was thrown on her face. I hope medicine improves in her lifetime so she can truly go back to normal. Just awful story. Poor woman.
 
I don't get why prison is all that happens to someone who does such a thing.

Why is torture illegal? How about a year of torture and then death? Cheaper for the taxpayers no?
 
Hopefully it gets better as time goes by, it looks incredibly creepy right now....

Sad story, can't help but feel bad for the woman. How can she "forgive" her ex-husband for doing that to her?
 
The animals who did this to the lady need to be put down. They don't fit the descriptions of a human being to deserve a trial. Nobody deserves to be beaten like that. Nobody.

In 2007, the 44-year-old mother of two was attacked by her now ex-husband Herbert Rodgers, who believed she was seeing another man. Police say he went to the house looking for that man, then went into a fury directed toward Tarleton, striking her with a bat and pouring lye from a squeeze bottle onto her face.

When police arrived, Tarleton was trying to crawl into a shower to wash away the chemical, which had already distorted her face.

In 2009, Rodgers pleaded guilty to maiming Tarleton in exchange for a prison sentence of at least 30 years.
